This is a very good collectible hardcover, no dust jacket, originally issued by publisher with glassine clear jacket, not included with this copy. 1990 Grossett & Dunlap Publishing, An Illustrated Junior Library Book. Very clean and still crisp inside. No writing, marks etc. Binding tight and straight. Illustrated hardcover front and back very good. There is light shelf wear to cover at corners but very clean and bright full color illustrated cover.
This is the only hardcover edition of the second volume in the classic Anne of Green Gables series. Sixteen yr old Anne is teaching in Avonlea and hopes to gain the respect of pupils not much younger than herself. This wonderful book has several full color illustrations that bring the story to life. Readers of all ages have loved the Anne of Green Gables story and this edition continues to inspire readers with color plates that enhance the story.
