This is a very good small hardcover. 1923 Reilly Lee Publishing. This copy is still very good inside and out. The inside pages are very good and clean with only very light natural tanning to pages from age. The navy blue hardcover boards are also very good with only very light shelf wear and feature gold embossed title and author lettering front. Top outer page edges tipped in gold gilt. Small pocket book meant to be tucked in pocket or purse for reading anywhere. 12mo book size or 5" x 7" with 190 pages including index of first lines.
Edgar A. Guest was a British born American poet. He became known as "The People's Poet" for his inspirational and optimistic poems of everyday life. This collection contains over 100 short poems that focus on family, friendship, morals and everyday living.
