This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. 1990 2nd Printing Library of America. This copy is still remarkably crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Royal blue cloth bound hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is still clean and shiny with only hints of shelf wear. Attached navy satin bookmark. Library of America logo illustrated endpapers front and back. Crown octavo book size or 5" x 8" with 1136 pages including chronology and notes.
Sherman Memoirs of General W.T. Sherman from Library of America is a single volume edition containing both Volume One and Volume Two of Sherman's memoirs. The text is from the revised edition of 1886 (the more accurate and desired) and contains a series of detailed maps prepared at Sherman's request along with appendices containing dozens of letters written in response to the 1875 first edition.
