This is a very good set of 9 hardcovers. 1914 Doubleday Publishing. Each volume is very good inside and out. The inside pages of each are very good and clean. The bindings are tight and straight, NOTE: several volumes have a cracked binding which is common in vintage books BUT the pages are all still tight to binding, see photo of example binding crack. Bound in green cloth, all the hardcover boards are very good and clean with only hints of shelf wear. Each volume is crown octavo book size or 5" x 8" each.
This collection of Rudyard Kipling works from Doubleday Publishing contains the stories volume 1-3 featuring classics such as Soldiers Three, The Story of the Gadsbys, In Black and White, Under the Deodars, and Wee Willie Winkie. Additional volumes feature novels Plain Tales from the Hills, Life's Handicap, and The Light that Failed. In addition, some volumes gather selected travel letters or notes such as portions of From Sea to Sea, American Notes, and City of Dreadful Night, alongside early verse. Volume One features an photographic frontispiece of Kipling with original tissue guard still in place.
