This is a very good set of two hardcovers. 1990-1991 University of Chicago Press. This set is very good inside and out. NOTE: Volume One has multiple inside pages with "wrinkles" along top edge and we tried to display such in the photos. Although there are apparent creased or wrinkled pages in Volume One, they are very clean and only creased along top edge. Volume Two is near fine or like new inside and out with crisp clean pages. Volume One is like new outside as the maroon hardcover boards are like new with barely a hint of shelf wear. Volume Two features green hardcover boards that are also near fine or like new with barely a hint of shelf wear. Each hardcover is medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" each.
Logic, Language, and Meaning by L. T. F. Gamut was originally published by the University of Chicago Press in 1990. Volume One is Introduction to Logic. Volume Two is Intensional Logic and Logical Grammar. They serve as a foundational text combining formal logic, linguistics, and the philosophy of language. "L. T. F. Gamut" is a collective pseudonym for a prominent group of Dutch logicians and linguists: Johan van Benthem, Jeroen Groenendijk, Dick de Jongh, Martin Stokhof, and Henk Verkuyl
