This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. This copy includes a letter from at the time Carter Center Pres. & CEO, John B. Hardman, thanking previous owner for their support and providing Jimmy Carter signed Carter Center note with the book. See photos. The inside pages of this copy are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Blue hardcover boards under jacket are very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is very good and clean with only a hint of shelf wear. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 272 pages including index.
Beyond the White House by Jimmy Carter is subtitled Waging Peace, Fighting Disease, And Building Hope. It is an autobiographical story of his post-presidency. Serving in more than 70 countries, Carter has led peacekeeping efforts for Ethiopia, North Korea, Haiti, and more. His initiatives, with dedicated colleagues, have eliminated, prevented or cured an array of diseases characterized as "neglected" by WHO. The book is a wonderful example of service, dedication and hope.
