This is a very good large hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1972 Little Brown Publishing. This copy is very good inside and out. The inside pages are very good and clean. The binding is tight and straight, bound in fine sewn (not glued) binding. Yellow hardcover boards are also very good with only light shelf wear. Super octavo book size or 7" x 10" with 877 pages.

This edition of James Beard's American Cookery was published in 1972 by Little Brown Co. and illustrated by Earl Thollander. It contains everything from appetizers to soups, fish poultry game beef and more. Desserts are of course included from pies and cakes to puddings and ice cream. Vegetable are not left out, grains potatoes beans and more are addressed.
And don't forget breads, pickles and preserves, candy and fruit.
