This is a very good 2 volume set of hardcovers. Circa 1920's Thomas Nelson Publishing. This set is very good inside and out w only minor condition flaws. The inside pages of both volumes are very good and clean. There is some light tanning inside front and back endpapers of the volumes, see photo, but pages inside clean with only a hint of light natural tanning from age. The bindings are tight and straight, all pages tight to binding but you can notice minor "cracks" to binding if closely examined, see photo. Binding cracks are common to vintage books and severity depends on if pages are loose. Red hardcover boards are very good and clean with light shelf wear and feature design front and gold lettering along spine. This series of books published by Nelson were designed to be "pocket books" for carrying in purse or pocket and read anywhere. They are each 18mo book size or 4.5" x 6".
This is the two volume set of David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. Originally published in 1850, this is a classic coming-of-age novel. The novel chronicles the protagonist's journey from a difficult childhood to becoming a successful novelist, drawing heavily on Dickens's own life experiences.
