This is a very good 6 volume set of hardcovers. 1945 Oxford University Press. This set is very good inside and out. The inside pages on each volume are very clean and very good. All bindings on each volume are tight and straight. Each volume is bound in maroon hardcover boards featuring a gold design front and gold lettering along spine and they are all very good with only light shelf were and occasional rubbing corner/edges. Each volume is octavo book size or 6" x 9" each. Each volume has photographic endpapers front and back.
The War by Edgar McInnis, published in 1946 by Oxford University Press, is a comprehensive and detailed 6 volume set of World War Two history. Each volume contains a Documentary Appendix and Chronology. Volume One begins with an introductory foreword by Raymond Grim Swing. Vol 1 begins with Background and Origin, and starts the historical narrative Sept. to Dec. 1939. Vol. One ends August 1940. Each volume picks up where the previous left off. There are detailed maps, vintage photos and illustrations to illuminate the text.
The volumes are titled; The War First Year, The War Second Year, The War Third Year, The War Fourth Year, The War Fifth Year, and The War Sixth Year.
