This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1966 34th Printing MacMillan Publishing. This copy is still very good inside and out. The inside pages are actually still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. There is an unmarked Ex Libris bookplate affixed inside front cover, see photo. Red hardcover boards under jacket are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is very good given age and does have very light shelf wear mostly corners/edges and Newbery Award medal sticker front. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 207 pages.
Hitty Her First Hundred Year by Rachel Field was first published in 1929 and won the Newbery Medal in 1930. The edition was delightfully illustrated by Dorothy P. Lathrop and this edition features her original illustrations. The classic children's book tells of the adventures of Hitty the doll as she travels the world.
