This is a near fine (almost like new) 2 volume set of hardcovers with very good accompanying dust jackets. Circa 1970's DoubleDay Publishing. NOTE: last copyright date given inside is 1930 but this set is not from 1930, it is a reprint most likely from the 70's wherein the publisher neglected to update the copyright page as if often found in reprints. This set is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The bindings are tight and straight. Black cloth hardcover boards under jackets are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear and feature red cloth half trim and silver lettering on spine. The accompanying dust jackets are very good, still clean and shiny but do show light shelf wear edges/corners. Each volume is medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5".
This edition of The Complete Sherlock Holmes features and Intro by Christopher Morley. It is complete and unabridged, including all four novels and all 56 short stories. The Intro by Morley appears in Volume One.
