The binding is tight and straight. Brown hardcover boards under jacket are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is very good, still clean and shiny with very light shelf wear. Imperial octavo book see or 9.5" x 10.5" with 199 pages.

In 1904, The Canadian Bank of Commerce transferred teller Robert Service to its branch in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Less than 5 yrs later, Service was the famous poet who had chronicled the Klondike gold rush and beauty of the frozen North. Here are all the colorful characters Service immortalized such as One Eyed Mike, Pious Pete, Gum Boot Ben, and the lady known as Lou.
