This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. First Edition 1981 Norton Publishing. This copy is actually still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Blue hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and shiny but does have very light shelf wear along corners/edges AND is neatly price clipped inside front jacket flap bottom edge. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 101 pages.
A Grossery of Limericks by Isaac Asimov & John Ciardi is the second volume of 288 unspeakable (in polite society) poems. Of the two authors, John Ciardi is the serious American poet. Asimov of course is the world-famous biochemist. 144 of the poems are limericks from Ciardi and the rest from Asimov who was known to write limericks on paper napkins, matchbooks, and occasionally manuscript paper. Regardless, readers will delight in the limericks of both authors.
