This is one of the original 8 volume set published in the Who's Who in British History series. Stuart Britain 1603-1714. Each volume has been arranged chronologically and extensively indexed. Each is a guide to the kings and archbishops, along with artists, warriors and revolutionaries. Each volume paints a portrait of an era. Entries are placed in the contexts of their time and the chronological arrangements give a sense of intimacy and narrative.
