This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying slipcase. Third Printing 1989 Library of America. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Bound in royal blue cloth, the hardcover boards are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying ivory slipcase is near fine with only very light shelf wear. Crown octavo book size or 5" x 8" with 898 pages including notes and index. Fine binding appointments include sewn binding for durability and aesthetics and attached blue satin bookmark.
