Wyatt Earp The Life Behind the Legend by Casey Tefertiller draws on newer research from buried newspaper articles, person account and more to form a picture of the American legend and enduring icon of the Old West. It sets the record straight on with this biography of a legendary figure. Readers get the facts behind the tall tales and find that the truth is even more entertaining than the legends and fiction. In 1879 Wyatt and his friend Doc Holliday moved to Tombstone. There, along with his brothers, Wyatt held law enforcement positions that put them at odds with the infamous Johnny Ringo and his gang. In October of 1881 the most famous gunfight in Old West history took place at the OK Corral and legends were born.
