This is a good and solid hardcover. 1906 Ginn Co. Publishing. This copy is actually very good inside and out. The inside pages only have very light natural tanning from age and are clean. Previous owners name written inside front cover with OSU and date of 1912, see photo. The binding is tight and straight. Brown hardcover boards are good, solid with mild shelf wear mostly corners/edges. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 563 pages including index.
Types and Breeds of Farm Animals by Charles Plumb was one of the Country Life Education Series published early 1900's. It is a very detailed description of livestock from horses to swine to cattle and more. Included in the details are characteristics, history and suitability for various situations and work. Black and white photos accompany many of the breeds to enhance the textual information.
