This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1982 Two Volumes in One from Fairfax Publishing. This copy is very good inside and out. NOTE: the inside pages are very clean but there is light natural tanning to pages from age. The binding is tight and straight. Blue hardcover boards are also very good front and back with only very light shelf wear. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 1201 pages including index.

It is a comprehensive narrative through personal letters, archives, eyewitness accounts, and considered a definitive history.
