The inside pages are crisp and clean. Bound in green leather, the hardcover boards are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. Binding tight and straight. Fine binding appointments as expected from Franklin Library include; Smyth sewn fine binding, hubbed spine, silk moire fabric endpapers, outer page edges tipped in gold, and attached satin bookmark. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 170 pages.
This edition from Franklin Library of Thornton Wilder's The Alecstiad or A Life in the Sun and Drunken Women has been finely illustrated by Daniel Maffia. It includes a foreword by Isabel Wilder.
