This is a near fine (almost like new) leather-bound hardcover. 1976 Franklin Library First Edition, First Edition Society Limited Edition. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Bound in genuine tan leather, the cover features gold design front and back with gold lettering along spine. Fine binding appointments as expected with Franklin Library include; silk moire fabric endpapers, hubbed spine, all 3 outer page edges tipped in gold, fine Smyth sewn binding and attached gold satin bookmark. The leather cover is also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 256 pages.

The novel is a classic example of Vonnegut's signature satirical and grotesque humor. It's a future of everyone is part of an "artificial extended family" to combat loneliness.
