This is a very good small hardcover. Third Edition Scribners Publishing circa 1910's. This copy is still very good inside and out. The inside pages are very clean with no foxing and only a hint of light natural tanning from age. The binding is still tight and straight. Ivory hardcover boards feature green design and lettering front and spine and are also very good with only very light shelf wear. This is a smaller "pocket book" hardcover designed at the time to be carried around in purse of pocket for reading anywhere. 16mo book size or 4" x 6.5" with 227 pages.

This edition of A Romance in Transit by Francis Lynd is the third edition from Scribners Publishing who originally published the first edition in 1899. It is one of "The Ivory Series" from Scribners which featured popular classic literature titles in handsome small books, 16mo, gilt tops or top page edges tipped in gilt, and were priced at .75 cents each. Second and third edition books were generally printed 5-10 years after initial First Editions if the books were successful so we have dated this approx. 1910.
