This is a near fine (almost like new) 4 volume set of hardcovers with accompanying slipcase. 1988 Gallery Books. All 4 volumes of this set are like new inside and out. NOTE: previous owners sticker placed inside front cover under jacket flap on all 4 volumes, see photo. The rest of the inside pages are still crisp and clean. The bindings are tight ands straight. Blue hardcover boards under jacket on all 4 are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. Accompanying dust jackets are still clean and shiny with only hints of shelf wear to any of the volumes. The accompanying slipcase is near fine, clean and shiny with only a hint of shelf wear. Each volume is coffee table size and style book, imperial octavo book size or 9" x 11" each.
Eyewitness History of The Civil War contains four volumes that give a detailed and eyewitness narrative of the Civil War. Each volume is extensively illustrated with black and white sketches and vintage photos. Titles in the set are: Opening Guns Fort Sumter to Bull Run 1861, The Bloody Struggle The Civil War in the East 1862, War in the West Shiloh to Vicksburg 1862-1863, and War in The East Chancellorsville to Gettysburg 1863.
