This is a very good hardcover, NO doors jacket, jacket missing. 1957 Illustrated Junior Deluxe series Nelson DoubleDay Publishing. This copy is very good and clean inside and out. The inside pages are clean and only have very light natural tanning from age. The binding is tight and straight. The hardcover boards are also very good with only very light shelf wear. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 254 pages.
Junior Deluxe Edition books were a series of children's books published from the late 1940's through the 1960's. Originally published by Nelson DoubleDay Publishing, there have been multiple publishers over the years. Some of the versions feature multiple stories and most of those are abridged volumes. Generally, the volumes featuring single stories are complete.
This is Daniel Boone Wilderness Scout by Stewart Edward White. It has been illustrated by Henry C. Pitz with black and white sketches and a full color frontispiece.
