This is a very good hardcover, NO doors jacket, jacket missing. 1956 Junior Illustrated Deluxe Edition book series. This copy is very good inside and out, esp. given age. The pages are clean inside. There is only light tanning to illustrated endpapers and inside pages have only very light natural tanning from age. The binding is tight and straight. Illustrated hardcover boards are very good and clean, only very light shelf wear. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 284 pages.
All The Mowgli Stories by Rudyard Kipling contains nine stories of adventure in the jungle. This edition has been illustrated by Richard M. Powers in black and white sketches with one full color illustration on frontispiece.
Jr. Deluxe Edition books were a series of children's books published from the late 1940's through the 1960's. Originally published by Nelson DoubleDay Publishing, there have been multiple publishers over the years. Some of the versions feature multiple stories and most of those are abridged volumes. Generally, the volumes featuring single stories are complete.
