This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1978 Bobbs Merrill Publishing. This copy is very good, crisp and clean, inside and out. The inside pages are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. NOTE: although there is no dust jacket there is a blurb from the dust jacket neatly taped inside front cover, see photo. Brown hardcover boards are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear and feature Anna design front and gold lettering along spine. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 870 pages.
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy was first published in 1878. It is a classic Russian novel and considered to be one of the greatest works of literature. The novel tells the tragic story of a married socialite, Anna, who has a passionate affair with Count Vronsky, defying the hypocritical norms of 19th-century Russian high society.
This edition has been translated from the Russian by Constance Garnett.
