This is a very good hardcover. 1970 Singing Tree Press. Facsimile reprint of the 1893 edition first published in London. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are actually still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Navy blue hardcover boards are also very good with barely a hint of shelf wear. Crown octavo book size or 5.5" x 8.5" with 258 pages including notes and appendix.
West Irish Folktales and Romances is full of literary tales that tell of the rich cultural heritage of Ireland. Originally published in 1893, this edition is a complete facsimile of the original. It contains and Intro and notes along with appendix containing specimens of the Gaelic originals phonetically spelt.
