This is one of The Oxford Illustrated Dickens. The set was originally published in 1954 and reprinted in 1989. This collectible series is regarded as the most comprehensive illustrated Dickens. Each volume contains original illustrations, many of which appeared in the works first editions. The text is derived from the Charles Dickens Edition, revised by the author in the 1860's.
This is Nicholas Nickleby. The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby is a Charles Dickens novel about a young Nicholas who, after his father's death, must support his mother and sister. He is forced to confront his cruel, wealthy uncle, Ralph Nickleby. The novel is adventurous and a social commentary.
