This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. 2004 Public Affairs books. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. Taking Liberties by Aryeh Neier is subtitled Four Decades in the Struggle for Rights. The author began defending rights 40 years ago when only a small number of people were employed doing such. Neier became the architect for some of the 20th centuries most influential organizations monitoring and promoting civil rights. He joined the staff of the ACLU in 1963. This is his story and fight for civil liberties and human rights.
