This is a very good hardcover. 1993 Running Press. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Black cloth hardcover boards are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear and feature full color illustrated paste-down on gold trim. Attached gold satin bookmark. Slightly larger than octavo book size (6" x 9") or 8" x 9"

Inside readers will find classic beautiful Audubon illustrations with accompanying small notes. Each note is dated with the place and date of the notation with an accompanying illustration. A few pages include a note with no specific illustration. Example of the illustration and note is; "Florida Keys, Late April, 1832 As we were proceeding towards some Keys seldom visited by men, the sun rose from the bosom of the waters with a burst of glory... " and the accompanying illustration is of the black throated Mango Hummingbird.
