The Good War by Studs Terkel is subtitled An Oral History of World War Two. The book was published in 1984 and won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 1985. The book includes the memories of some of the famous admirals, politicians and intellectualists but equally fascinating is the views of those who formed our image of the war The author also spoke to those who experience the war in Japan, Germany, Europe, England and France. He shows us the war from the perspective of those who did the bombing and those who were bombed. It brings together the ideals and innocence that made this a "good war".
