This is a very good leather-bound hardcover. 1968 Ferguson Publishing. This copy is still very good inside and out. The inside pages are very good and clean. This edition is bound in genuine in brown mission leather and it is still soft and supple, very good front and back. Embossed illustrations and lettering front and along spine. Larger book, imperial octavo book size or 8.5" x 11.5" with 320 pages.
The Trials and Triumphs of Two Dynamic Decades features 20 chapters that take readers from 1945-1967. The book features a chronology of events during that time period that lead off the chapters. The editors term this period as The Space Age Generation. The book is extensively illustrated with vintage photos and illustrations that accompany the narrative of history. The book is subtitled A Pictorial History of the Space Age Generation.
The four presidents whose terms of office spanned the period of atomic energy and space years, Kennedy, Johnson, Eisenhower and Truman are pictured on the subtitle page at the funeral of former Speaker of The House - Sam Rayburn. The book takes readers through the history of this time period with a detailed narrative and photos/illustrations making the book a pictorial history.
