This is a near fine (almost like new) leather-bound hardcover. 2000 Easton Press Collectors Edition, SIGNED by both author and illustrator w certificate of authenticity, Easton Press pamphlet and note. Previous owners name is written on the original accompanying bookplate place inside front cover. This is the Easton Press Collectors Edition bound in genuine midnight blue leather. Additional fine binding accents include hubbed spine, all 3 page edges tipped in gold gilt, fine Smyth sewn binding for durability and aesthetics, attached satin bookmark and gold design front and back. Front and back endpapers are in gold moire silk. This fine edition is a collectors item from Easton Press. Medium octavo book size or 6.5" x 9.5" with 498 pages.
Gods and Generals by Jeff Shaara is a historical novel that relates events from 1858 through 1863, during the American Civil War, ending just as the two armies march toward Gettysburg. The book was originally published in 1996 and adapted into film in 2003. This edition is beautifully illustrated by renowned illustrator Mort Künstler.
