The accompanying dust jacket is good, clean but showing light shelf wear edges/corners and fading/tanning along spine. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 775 pages including index with original pull-out map end of book.
The Fifteenth Century 1399-1485 by E.F. Jacob is a narrative of English history. It is one of the book in the Oxford History of England series. A special feature is the sections devoted to Anglo-French relations with the Treaty of Troyes given particular emphasis. The last chapter, a pacific epilogue to the tale of violence preceding it, deals with notable English achievements in the life of the spirit.
