This is a very good hardcover. 1969 The Harvard Classics Volume 13, Virgil. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Green hardcover boards are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear and feature Veritas logo in gold front with gold lettering along spine. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 427 pages.

The Harvard Classics was originally published as Dr Eliot's Five Foot Shelf of Books. It was originally compiled and edited by then Harvard University President Charles W. Eliot. He believed that a reading of the series would offer the benefits of a liberal education and entertainment meant for the average readers or collector.

This is Volume 13, 1909 Collier Publishing the Harvard Classics Fabrikoid Edition. Virgil's Aeneid with Intro and Notes. This edition is translated by John Dryden. The epic Latin poem is still considered one of the greatest and tells the story of a Trojan who fled the fall of Troy. The first six books of the poem tell of the journey from Troy to Italy. The final books of the poem recount the Trojan victory of the Latins.
