This is a near fine (almost like new) collectible leather bound hardcover. 1983 Time Life Collector's Library of the Civil War series. PLEASE NOTE; top outer page edges are tipped in gold gilt and there is some wearing of the gold gilt, see photo. Other two pages edges only a hint of gilt wearing. This collectors edition has been photographically reproduced from the first edition 1903, thus preserving the authenticity of the original including typographical errors and irregularities. Black leather bound hardcover with gold lettering and embossed illustration of foot soldiers on front cover. Gold tip page edges with red ribbon attached bookmark. Marbled endpapers front and back. Bound in fine sewn binding for aesthetics and durability, the binding is tight and straight. The pages inside are still crisp and clean with no markings seen. Octavo book size or 5" x 9" with 316 pages.
This edition from Time Life Collectors Library of the Civil War series is Three Months in The Southern States April - June 1863 by Lieut. Col. Fremantle. It is his memoir of time and recollections of the period of April to June 1863.
