This is a near fine (almost like new) 12 volume set in handsome maroon leather-like bindings with padded hardcover boards bound in maroon simulated leather. The binding gives the appearance (and a very good one) of soft leather but is NOT actually leather-bound. This set is the 1975 reprint from the original published in 1963. Each of the volumes is very good and near fine inside and out. The inside pages are still crisp and clean. The bindings are tight and straight. Maroon simulated hardcover boards feature padded covers with gold lettering and various designs front. The volume # and title lettering is in gold along the spine. Each volume is this set is near fine in binding with barely any wiring of wear to covers. Each volume is imperial octavo book size or 8.5" x 11".

The Life History of the United States was originally published by Time Life Books in 1963. This set is the 1975 reprint. It consists of 12 volumes all bound in maroon leather-like padded covers for a fine binding look. Each volume is extensively illustrated with vintage photos, paintings and both black and white and color illustrations. The text is definitive and well researched detailing history basically from before 1775 to beyond 1945.
