This is a near fine (almost like new) larger hardcover with dust jacket. 1979 Bonanza Books Edition. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The inside pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Gold hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear and feature orange cloth quarter trim with gold lettering along spine. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and shiny with only very light shelf were corners/edges. Imperial octavo book size or 8.5" x 11" with 300 pages including notes.
This 1979 Edition of Benjamin Franklin Poor Richard's Almanack has been illustrated by Norman Rockwell. It is a comprehensive collection of all the editions of Poor Richard's Almanacks. It includes an Intro by Van Wyck Brooks describing the Almanacks in detail. There are 60 color paintings by Rockwell. The edition was originally published in a Limited Edition of 1500 copies in 1964. This edition is a coffee table style book.
