This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket jacket missing. 1955 Grosset & Dunlap Publishing. This copy is very good inside and out. The inside pages are very clean and very good. The binding is tight and straight. Tan hardcover boards feature illustration of express rider front with brown title lettering along spine. The hardcover boards are very good BUT there is light fading and light shelf wear mostly to corners/edges. Imperial octavo book size or 8.5" x 11" with 154 pages.

The book chronicles the history of the pony express from the beginnings to the end of the trail. It is extensively illustrated with historical pictures to bring the history and story to life.
