This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket and accompanying slipcase. First Edition 1971 Foreign Language Press. This copy is still very good inside and out. The pages are very good and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Brown hardcover boards under jacket are also very good with only very light shelf wear and feature gold title lettering front and spine. The dust jacket is good, showing shelf wear but overall good and solid. The accompanying slipcase is very good, clean and solid with only light shelf wear. Crown octavo book size or 5.5" x 8" with 504 pages.
Using the more common modern English spelling, Tsetung not Zedong, The Foreign Language Press published this selection of works in 1971. Illustrated frontispiece of Zedong still has the original tissue guard in place. Mao Zedong was a Chinese politician and political theorist. He founded the People's Republic of China in 1949 and led the country until his death in 1976.
