A Six Months Tour Through the North of England by Arthur Young was first published in 1771. This edition is a facsimile reprint of the original first edition. The author was a renowned agriculturalist and traveler. This is a seminal work detailing his journeys across Northern England to document the state of agriculture, manufacture, society and more during the late 18th century. His detailed observations were collected from hundreds of farms, farming implements, and the lives of laborers. As such the books are a significant cultural and historical text on 18th-century English life.
