This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. 1997 Knopf Publishing. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Maroon hardcover boards under jacket are also near fine with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is very good with only light shelf wear.
Katherine Graham won the Pulitzer Prize in 1998 for this biography, Personal History. We follow her from her family life when her multi-millionaire father left private business to buy and restore The Washington Post. It is the story of the revival of the paper, the story of Washington, and most of all the story of Katherine. Fascinating and notable characters fill the pages from Warren Buffet, to Post reporters Bernstein, Woodward, and Bradlee.
