It is famous for the death of Horatio Nelson, Britain's greatest naval hero whose tactical genius and leadership saved Britain rom invasion by Napoleon. The author takes readers through the dramatic battle using previously unpublished letters, accounts, and research. He reveals the picture of the people behind the conflict - Nelson and his admirals and officers - but also the story of the ordinary men serving in the Fleet.
The book is finely illustrated with images from the National Maritime Museum archives. It was published to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.
