This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with accompanying dust jacket. 1990 Ticknor and Fields Publishing. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Maroon hardcover boards feature green quarter trim w gold lettering along spine and are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying slipcase is very good with only very light shelf wear and original illustrated title paste-down on cover. Medium octave book size or 6.5" x 9.5' with 141 pages.
Here At Eagle Pond by Donald Hall is a collection of his essays about time and life on his beloved New Hampshire farm in the woods. Hall was an American poet and writer. This edition is illustrated by Thomas W. Nason. Essays include; Why We Live Here, Perennials, The Embrace of Old Age, To Walk a Dog, October's Omens, A Good Foot of Snow, The Rooster and the Silo, Country Matters and more. It includes an Intro penned March 1990.
