The Travels of Marco Polo contains stories from the Venetian traveler, Marco Polo during the thirteenth century. The stories are told by the romance writer Rustichello da Pisa from stories told to him by Marco Polo when they were imprisoned together in Genoa. Although the stories have been viewed with skepticism, such as did Marco Polo actually travel to all the places including China, depictions have been reviewed by historians as bingo mostly accurate compared to other writings of the time. This edition is finely illustrated with maps and several colorful plates along with illustrated endpapers. It has been translated with an Intro by Ronald Latham.
