This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 1995 Harcourt Brace 50th Anniversary Edition. PLEASE NOTE; inside dust jacket back is a gift inscription dated 2002, you must remove the jacket and look on the back to see gift inscription. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Red hardcover boards under jacket are very good with light shelf wear along bottom edges and corners. The accompanying dust jacket is clean and mostly shiny with light shelf wear mostly along edges. Imperial octavo book size or 8" x 10" with 180 pages. Illustrated endpapers front and back.

According to Orwell, the novel reflects revolutionary Russia and its enter into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union.
