This is a near fine (almost like new) hardcover with dust jacket. 2000 Simon & Schuster Publishing. Illustrator Hilary Knight. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean. The binding is tight and straight. Fully illustrated hardcover boards under jacket match jacket illustrations and are also near fine with barely a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is near fine with only a hint of shelf wear corners/edges. Larger size, imperial octavo book size or 8" x 11.5".
Eloise in Moscow by Kay Thompson was first published in 1959 and remained out of print for decades following. Reprints began in the late 1980's due to demand and popularity. Eloise in Moscow was the fourth book in the series. The character was developed from the authors imaginary childhood friend and speculation for the books gives that her granddaughter, Liza Minnelli, was also an inspiration. This edition is finely illustrated by Hilary Knight.
