This is a very good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1990 American Peony Society. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages are still crisp and clean, photos bright and colorful. The binding is tight and straight. Green hardcover boards feature gold title lettering front and spine and are also very good with only a hint of shelf wear. Royal octavo book size or 7" x 10" with 208 pages including index.
The American Hybrid Peony from the American Peony Society has been compiled by Greta M. Kessenich with hybridizing and bibliography by Don Hollingsworth. The book was designed to show the varieties of the hybrid peony, the vibrant range of colors and more. Species were photographed by members of the American Peony Society. Full color photos feature each species in both bloom and bud and include botanical names.
