This is a very good hardcover with dust jacket. 2005 Knopf Publishing NOT True First Edition, reprint. This copy is still crisp and clean inside and out. The pages are crisp and clean, BUT NOTE we did see 3 pages that have a small "star" noted in the page margins. The binding is tight and straight. Ivory color hardcover boards under jacket are very good with only a hint of shelf wear. The accompanying dust jacket is very good with only light shelf wear. Standard octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 322 pages including authors note.

Christ The Lord Out of Egypt by Anne Rice was her first departure from the horror genre that made her famous. This historical fiction novel is an imagining of the childhood years of Jesus. It portrays him as mystic, healer, prophet, and young boy.
