This is a good hardcover, NO dust jacket, jacket missing. 1945 Sun Dial Press. NOTE: this copy is in good condition but there is wear and small tear to binding cover top edge along spine, see photo. Overall this copy is good and solid. The pages show light natural tanning from age but are clean. The binding is tight and straight. Green hardcover boards are good with light shelf wear including aforementioned binding wear top of spine. The black lettering on front cover and lettering along spine are very good with only a hint of fading. Crown octavo book size or 5.5" x 8.5" with 316 pages. Small bookshop sticker inside back cover.
Dragonwyck by Anna Seton is a novel first published in 1944. It is about Miranda and her abusive marriage to Nicholas and set against the historical background of the Anti-Rent Wars and steamboat racing along the Hudson. Miranda's marriage is far from what she imagined, but she remains loyal to her husband.
