This is a very good hardcover, NO doors jacket, jacket missing. 1941 Story Book Press BCE. This is NOT a true First Edition, but early collectible BCE nonetheless. This copy is very good inside and out. The pages are very clean and show only a hint of light natural tanning from age. The binding is tight and straight. Green hardcover boards are also very good with only light shelf wear. Octavo book size or 6" x 9" with 285 pages.
This edition of My Friend Flicka by May O'Hara has been finely illustrated with a color frontispiece and black and white line drawings by John Steuart Curry. The classic story is about a young Wyoming boy names Ken and his beloved mustang, Flicka. It was the first in a trilogy followed by Thunderhead and Green Grass of Wyoming. It is a classic of Childrens literature and adapted for film.
